I only heard the HSW-50 when I was looking for monitors, and it didn't have a lot of low end.. Don't know if that's the same for the HSW-80..
But 400 dollar is a good price.. Here in the Netherlands a set costs 490 euro..

My advice is to go to a shop where they sell these monitors and bring an original cd of something you know very well.. And compare it with other monitors..

The 50's won't have the low end because of the 5" speaker.. but the 80's can really boom with the 8" speaker in them. They are great speakers though, and $400 for a pair is a good deal.

Galvatron, if you cop them let me know how they are. I've been thinking about getting them for about 2 years, but am hesitant.
If they bang, I will get some myself.
