I started riding to school with a hybrid to save gas and to workout. Then started cruising around Chicago. Then copped a fixed gear just to get a different feel.
Fixed gear provide total control if you're cautious... if not then you can get into pretty bad accident. I would recommend fixed gear if you want something different. Riding multi/single-speed is cool too. You get to coast which i miss sometime on my fixie.
Here's my Fuji x Obey... no brakes (go hard or go home)... and I also took out the reflector on the wheels for esthetic purpose
might want to raise the saddle up man. unless the frame is just entirely too big for you. _________________ www.blueskyblackdeath.com

Riding fixies without brakes is crazy. No matter how good you are at stoping with the pedals, there is no way to stop on a dime if a car/person ect gets in front of you.
True, that's why you gotta be cautious and aware of the surrounding.

You can also die if you're at stop and a car looses its break... but yeah never thought about it... i guess i'll maintain my bike better.. good looks for the tip

Yeah it's too big. I wanted a smaller frame but the store was having a big sale that day but didn't have my size... i couldn't pass.

yeah, there's plenty of critical massholes around here. lots of ally cats too if you're into that sort of thing (I'm not). check out www.sffixed.com for lots of local info on events like these. Eventually you might wanna be a "spandex warrior," because their is amazing terrain in the bay you should take advantage of! I've done lots of long rides and a century on my fixed gear but it's not something I'm that into doing anymore. makes you strong as hell, but after a while I'm just wanting to ride my road bike. _________________ www.blueskyblackdeath.com
I just bought a fucking spalding blade for what I thought was .99 and then when the guy invoiced me on ebay for $50.99 for shipping. The bike is probably worth $15 at the most. I didn't notice the shipping and just put .99 because it had no reserve.

20$ at a garage sale. Trek only made this model one year, they made this one and the SS model. Sweet BMX, I'm going to flip it on Ebay. _________________

drafts are pieces of shit. they weigh like 50 lbs, and all the components will be loose and jiggly within like two months.
thing about buying a fixed/single speed bike is, the more you get into it the more you will want to customize it, so you should invest in a nice frame that can have shitty components and then slowly upgraded stuff. _________________ intuition.com
